A light meal and refreshments were graciously presented by the Embassy.
The film recounts a variation of the ever-present conflict between a man and a woman. Esmat, a well-bred girl, lives with her aunt, the landlady of a tourist village at Hourghada. She tries the patience of Abbas el-Antil, a decorator, not only by hurting him, but also by refusing to marry him. He files a complaint against her, and she is fined and given a prison term. Then Abbas puts her in a dillemma: three years in jail or the marriage in three months... the lady opts for the confrontation. Thus, it is an Egyptian version of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew
